For the past 4 years, we have taken a family vacation to the beach for the 4th of July week... my little slice of heaven on earth! Family includes: my parents, my brother & his family, and my little family of four = 11 people! Some people think we are crazy, but it totally works! And for the 4th year, it's been a success!
Here's a few pics from our recent trip to Orange Beach, AL
The night view from our condo
Every year we do group family pics & I'm always in charge of bringing the tripod
Leave it to my hubby to tickle us right when the pics are being taken!
[Keeping with the fashion blog!!! My outfit: Top: Francesca's; Shorts: Goodwill; Belt: Delia's]
I LOVE this man :)
Gotta take a pic of us all jumping!
2 of my little nieces! Aren't they adorable!
Gotta stop & buy road side peaches! Turns out the peach trees were bought in our hometown.
We LOVE Orange Beach!
The boys always go surf fishing. Didn't catch much this year, but Dad did catch a sting ray!
The kids entertained themselves by digging a HUGE hole & decorated it with sand castles
Our last sunset at the beach 2012
I ate a LOT of shrimp :) I love love love seafood!
I can't believe a week ago, I was at the beach reading my way through six books! The beach is my favorite getaway & we all made the most of it. Thanks for another great family vacation!

I made myself a reminder months ago to create a CD to listen to during the ride to the beach.... Well we made in this weekend (only 1 week before vacation!) Originally, I was make copies for everyone in the family, but we waited too late.
We ended up with 34 songs / 2 cds & the mix is awesome. We listened to them on the way to the concert Saturday night & it has really got me pumped for vacation. (Sherry requested a copy before she heads out this weekend too!!!) I hope it makes the 8 hour drive to the beach a little more pleasant!

Signing up for emails from Francesca's may or may not have been my wisest decision....
This top is the current deal of the week & it's in the colors I've been gravitating to all summer!
Needless to say, I broke down & ordered the top. Fedex said it'll be here tomorrow. Just in time for vacation!

Living within 2 hours of the home of Country Music makes it really hard to resist all the awesome concerts! Last month, Sherry & I went to see Miranda Lambert [btw she was amazing!!!]
The Brothers of the Sun concert was a last minute decision. How can you resist cheap tickets for a Saturday night out with your girl friends to watch 2 of the hottest country singers?! We couldn't either!!!
Here's me & my girls crossing the river to the stadium
Tim again looking great in his white :)
It was HOT!!!
I even met up with my Sister in Law... they had better tickets than us!!!
Here's a couple writeups about the show!!!!

While getting ready this morning, I had a discovery... My hair is almost as long as my longest necklace!!! It only took me three years! I love it but it definitely takes longer to completely blow dry it in the mornings. But I picked out my outfit last night, so I had the extra time today. There's something about wanting to dress up to welcome the weekend!

It was pretty neat & I'm so glad I finally was able to see what all the fuss was about! I went with a group of work friends & customers. Most of us were first timers. It made it that much more fun.
We saw the slogan YOLO everywhere. You Only Live Once. I like the motto - This summer, I've made a deal with myself that I'm going to DO more & it started as going dateless to Bonnaroo! (My husband has been before & wasn't nearly excited about going as I was!!!)
We all joked that what happens at Bonnaroo, stays at Bonnaroo - so I've only got 1 picture of the campsite to share ;)
Since this is "technically" a fashion blog - after I got home I snapped a picture of my new skirt I bought on hippie row! (it's in Teal - the color that slowly taking over my closet!!!) It's going to make an awesome swimsuit cover up at the beach :)

I'll take a Girls Night anytime! This time just happened to include a Baby Shower. What's more fun that a group of girlfriends getting together on a Friday night to eat cake, open presents & take silly pictures? Plus I'm a sucker for a themed party!!! We copied the Crafty Texas Girls theme, because it was so adorable. The shower went great & we all enjoyed the quality girl time before Little Oliver gets here! I can't take credit for the decorations - Tara hosted & did all the hard work!
Baby Momma & the food table.
The gift table. Tara made the awesome diaper cake & the onesies clothes line!
I did make the cake! It's a key lime with key lime flavored butter cream!
I made little mustache sticks - they were so fun!!!!
Here's a few pictures from our mustache photobooth:
We had a bottle chugging contest, that was WAY to difficult for someone how has never had to bottle feed a baby! lol... but I'll save those for blackmail!

I've been a slacker with posts lately, but I don't want to dwell on that ;)
Memorial Day weekend was wonderful. The kids were out of school & I was itching to kick off the summer. So we made an impromptu visit to see my parents in Memphis. There's always fun stuff to do in Memphis! Our weekend included a girls shopping trip (KB had some birthday money to spend!), a minor league baseball game, BBQ nachos, fried catfish, kayaking the Ghost River, grilled steaks, & catching catfish at the park.
Me & Hubs
Mom & KB waiting in line for the baseball tickets at Will Call
FedEx was sponsering the game that night & I got to have my picture taken with my favorite Nascar driver's car :) Sooooo cool.
[Wearing: tank - JCPenney; shorts - Tommy Hilfiger; sandals: Target]
Meet Rockie the Redbird - they are the minor league team for the St Louis Cardinals
Me & KB (my boys are in the background "trying" to be funny.... Love Cam's face!!!)
Love this one :)
FIREWORKS after the game!
Sunday morning we woke up early & headed to Moscow, TN to kayak the Ghost River. This sign was not a joke.... it was a very LONG 6 hours (especially for KB). Beautiful landscape though.
Mom & Dad floating :) Check out the Cypress trees!
Overall great weekend & a wonderful visit with my parents :)

Necklace: Aunt Leslie
I've been in a closet funk for the past couple weeks. But I feel like I'm back. I've worn dresses/skirts the past 4:5 days! Saturday morning (I was off work) and I just played in my closet. I found this pair of heather grey tights that I bought last year, but never wore. And I LOVE THEM! I can't believe that over the course of the summer that I forgot how warm tights are. I guess it was easy to forget because I absolutely hated tights as a kid... but I just love them now! Hubs has given his approval ;) I think he likes all the skirts!
FYI: it wasn't supposed to be a boob shot!

Tank: Old Navy
Boots: Off Broadway
Necklace: xmas gift
Yesterday, I mentioned that I have been wearing these boots for the past month... well this has actually been one of my staple outfits. The brown sweater is lightweight. It's been perfect for the mild winter we've had so far this year. I scored a couple cute print tanks at Old Navy while doing some Christmas shopping & they are perfect to give any neutral solid sweater/cardi some added color.
Today my boss took all the ladies in the office on a field trip to Lynchburg, TN. We started out at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House for lunch. It was some very delicious southern home cooking! We all ate until we couldn't eat anymore & then they served chess pie with Jack Daniel's whipped topping! Here's a pic of our group:
Then we headed over to tour the Jack Daniel's Distillery. The guys at work took a tour a couple years ago, so today was our turn. It's really had to believe that every bit of the the Jack Daniel's that is sold is distilled in this little bitty "dry" town. The scenery was breathe taking & the smells were definately overwhelming! Overall, it was a pretty neat tour, definately worth going if you are ever in the area. Who said field trips were just for kids?!
btw: I got an iphone yesterday & I'm in love with instagram!!!!!

I know it's a little late for a New Years post, but I've been slacking with my posts. The holidays were jammed with shopping, family time, lot of work, doing crafts & some less than stellar outfits! It's been very eventful & I enjoyed every minute of it! With the new year, I have new goals. That's why I decided to join Lindsay (from work) and create a new blog! It's called Picker Dreams. We created it yesterday, and it's already a ton of fun. A couple months ago hubs asked me why I really didn't do crafts anymore (ie make jewelry, scrap booking, cake decorating). And my answer was that I had new hobbies. I started blogging, became an avid reader, started working out, cook dinner... I don't know, there's only so many hours in a day & I can't always find time to squeeze it all in. But when I started my Pinterest account, my crafty juices started flowing again, and really I haven't stopped. I've posted a few of my creations on here, but I think a new blog dedicated to my creations instead of outfits is more suiting. Plus with the help of Lindsay, I'm not doing it alone. We do a lot of projects together & bounce ideas off each other. I think we make a good team. I can't wait to see how our little blog will grow!
I still plan on maintaining Dispatch Apparel. It's over a Year Old & it's my baby. (even though I'm a slacker & missed my blogiversary :( Dec 29)
Oh & these are my new favorite boots. I bought them as a Christmas present for myself in early December & I have basically lived in them since! (Hence the less than stellar outfits! I love the boots, but I'm sure you guys would have got tired of all the posts with them! lol)
