TWENTY- FOUR & FIVE

Cardigan: Old Navy
Tee & Skirt: Target
Flats: Madden Girl (DSW)
Belt: Thrifted

Day 24, This afternoon hubby's co-workers daughter was getting married.  It was probably the shortest wedding that I've ever been too.  The ceremony was seriously shorter that the song she walked down the isle to!  The father of the bride said he didn't even get a chance to tear up.  She was beautiful & it was exactly what they wanted.  The best part about it was that it was hubs wanted to go.  I'm constantly dragging/begging him to go with me to things & this time it was his idea!  It's a nice change.

I'm glad the weather ended up actually getting into the 60s today.  Bear legs!!!  I can't wait for summer.  The leggings & colored tights have been great this winter, but I'm definately ready for sandals & sundresses.

After the wedding, I came home & changed again....

Cardigan: Old Navy
Tee: Loft
Jeans: American Eagle
Mocs: Minnetonka (DSW)
Necklace: World Market

Outfit 25, The weather was getting cooler & I had dinner plans with a friend.  I was happy with the orange & cardi combo, so I just added jeans.  The orange tee has to be my favorite remix piece.  I orginially picked it for my 30/30 to go with my orange skirt.  But I'm really glad I picked it.  Before the challege I really hadn't worn it much.  While running out of options, I was really forced to make it work with other pieces in my closet and I've loved how they all have turned out!

I had a great dinner & margaritas tonight with my friend Elizabeth.  We've been friends since the 5th grade.  Since high school she's moved around, but we've managed to stay in touch visiting each other when we have the chance.  She was in town this weekend getting stuff out of storage before she starts her latest adventure.   I can't wait for her to get settled in & I can go visit her in CT!  I've already checked & Southwest has good rates :)

5 more outfits... WOOHOO!!!

TWENTY-THREE

Tee: Loft
Jeans: American Eagle
Mocs: Minnetonka (DSW)
Necklace: World Market

Day 23, Today was one of those long work Saturdays.  Normally I'm out there by lunch, but today the trucks had other plans for me.  It was after three when I got home.  The weather man said it was going to be in the 60s today.  But when I pulled out of the garage for work, without socks, there was frost on the ground and still on the 30s.  Not fun, I ended up running my space heater when I got to work.  Luckily, the sun came out and warmed everything up as planned!  I guess I need to stop only listening for the high temps!

So this is my super casual Saturday-no-one-else-is-in-the-office-work look!  Jeans & a Tee w/ my mocs.  Loft tee's are my favorite.  I like to stock up and buy all different colors when they are on sale.  I get the emails all the time.  Since the 30/30 has started I just delete the coupons.  But I got a print ad in the mail yesterday with coupons... and I opened it... and went online...  I'm so in love with this color block cardigan!!!!

I can't wait to be able to go shopping freely again!!!

I got married at TWENTY-TWO

Cardigan & Top: Loft
Jeans: Loft
Heels: Gabriel Brothers
Scarf: Gap
Belt: Thrifted

Day 22, This is one of the outfits that I "thought" I had worn in the 30/30, but apparently hadn't yet.  I really should have made the spreadsheet in the beginning, but then you might have missed out on all my whinning & crying :)

I went a little overboard with the animal prints today, but I like it.  My trouser socks are even leopard print!  The scarf is lightweight so I didn't get too hot at work.

Last night Hubby almost got a virus on the computer.  Lucky, he was able to shut it down in time before it did any major damage.  I was very worried, and all I could think about was that I wasn't going to be able to blog!  Thank goodness he had the computer working before I got home.  Only 8 more outfits to go, hopefully I'll be able to double up some this weekend!

TWENTY-ONE & finally legal

Shirt & Jeans: American Eagle
Tank: Gap
Boots: DSW
Necklace: Et Cetera
Belt: Delias (from skirt)

Day 21, Today's inspiration is from Ramsey of Love, Ramsey.  I absolutely adored her outfit from yesterday.  It stuck with me & this is my rendition with limited 30 pieces.  It made for a fun outfit; a little brightness on a rainy day.  This is my 3rd bow/belt during the challege & I love them...You'll be seeing them more often.  I don't have any colored belts & I like the punch of color around my waist.

So yesterday I was ready to give up on the 30/30, but today I'm optimistic.  Only 9 more outfits.  Everyone morning I get this fear that I'm going to wear a duplicate outfit!  I do feel like I'm running out of clothes, but after making the spreadsheet today, I'm actually doing better than I thought.  I actually hadn't worn all the outfits that I had in my head!  Looking forward to next weekend and my planned shopping trip with Sherry.  Today she posted an oldie picture of us & wrote a super sweet post!

30/30 Recap 11-21

Today I made a spreadsheet so I can remember what pieces have been worn together & to find out which ones were not getting very much love.  And then I left it at work!!!  I made some outfit idea notes too.  Only 10 more outfits to go!  I think I can, I think I can...

TWENTY dollar bill

Tee: Gap
Jeans: American Eagle
Boots: Madden Girl (DSW)
Scarf: Kathy's (local boutique)

Day 20, I'm two-thirds the way through the challege!!! It was a little cooler here today so I was able to wear a scarf... I'm really going to miss them once the weather gets warm.  It's hard to dress in this in between weather.  My feet are already yelling that the boots are too hot.  Last night I was freezing outside in 40 degree weather.  And at work it gets hot in the office but then it's too cold with the a/c on.

This afternoon I went to a consignment sale.  I know shopping is a no no, but I wasn't shopping for myself.  I was looking for clothes for the kids.  They outgrow everything so fast, and I refuse to pay full price.  It was a total bummer!  Everything was WAY overpriced.  I think anything over $10 at consigment is too high, and that's where most of the prices started!  I usually can rack up, especially for KB, but today she got nothing.  Good thing I didn't take her with me!

Now I'm off to cook dinner & help with homework.  Only 10 more days of the 30/30... Let's hope I make it!

NINETEEN

Cardigan: Ross
Tee: Loft
Jeans: American Eagle
Flats: Madden Girl (DSW)
Necklace: Goody's

Day 19, I just hate it when my clothes hangers put little bumps in the shoulders of my sweaters & cardigans.  This particular cardigan is natorious for it.  I really need to find a better way to hang it.  If I was to just fold it up, I would just forget about it & it would never get wore.  So it's a lose/lose situation!

This is my solution for making a boxy sweater look femine.  I'm not 100% sold on the look.  I've went back and forth with it all day.  To me it doesn't look that good in my head, and usually it's the other way around.  It just seems to be a summer look vs. winter (Hence the shell necklace).  Also it's more a look I would have worn when I was 10!

EIGHTEEN wheeler

Cardigan: Loft
Tshirt: Kid Rock concert
Jeans: Express
Mocs: Minnetonka (DSW)

Day 18,  I figure since Hubby bought me the t-shirt at the concert that it is technically a gift & I'm allowing "gifts" in my 30/30.  Seriously though, I'm running out of ideas & this 30/30 thing really isn't that fun anymore.  I love this t-shirt.  I'm not normally a "buy a concert t-shirt sort of girl."  1st off they are way too expensive & 2nd I usually only wear t-shirt to work out.  I've been racking my brain all weekend for ideas to dress it up a little bit.  I think next time I'll wear it with a skirt (none of my 30/30 skirts either didn't match or were too dressy).  Any other ideas for wearing screen print tee, please let me know!!!  I'm liking the unexpected.

I'm not usually MIA for more than a day blogging, but I spent the entire weekend in my pajamas & no makeup.  So that wouldn't have made for good outfit posts, interesting, but definately not good!  It was wonderful though, I got tons of sleep, read a good book & caught up on missed episodes on the dvr.  I don't get a lot of weekends off work & I definately took full advantage by doing nothing!

Tonight is KB's last basketball game.  They are playing for the championship against my elementary alma mater (and my old basketball coach)!  This will definately be interesting...

Signed his 1st record deal at SEVENTEEN

Top: JCPenney's
Tee, Tank & Jeans: Loft
Boots: DSW
Shell Necklace: Goody's ?
Jacket: Kohl's

Day 17, Late post tonight!  We just got home.  Kid Rock really rocked Nashville tonight.  The best part about going to concerts in Nashville (being a music town) is that there are always guest appearences.  The opening act was Jamey Johnson.  Then Trace Atkins, Sheryl Crow & Jamey all had performances with Kid Rock.  I bought the tickets for hubby for his birthday, but secretly I think I was more excited!  Hubs even bought me a t-shirt.  It was definately a different crowd than I was expecting... A lot of biker people & more middle aged fans.  Then again, the tour is based around Kid Rock's 40th Birthday.  Either way Kid Rock put on a great show & I still love him as much as I did in high school!

This is my copy cat outfit from Sydney & Linda.  I really love the denim on denim.  My shirt doesn't tuck in very well & I can't wait to wear my chambray with my trouser jeans once the 30/30 is over!  At the concert there was a couple that were wearing matching oversized chambray shirts.  So FUNNY.  I wish I had a picture!
But I do have a few pics from the concert that I'd like to share...

SIXTEEN followers

Gray Tee: Loft
Orange Tee & Skirt: Target
Leggings: Walmart
Flats: Madden Girl (DSW)
Belt: Catos

Day 16, When I logged on tonight, I had a new follower!  Perfect timing for outfit 16 :)  The weather here is wonderful, and I bravely when sockless!  So exciting!  I wish the leggings were longer, because I totally forgot about shaving my legs... I'm a horrible leg shaver & I am completely out of practice for this weather.
[Note to self: shave legs tonight!]

I usually wear this skirt with brown leggings & shoes, so this is my attempt to remix!  I have some more ideas for the skirt, but they aren't in my 30/30.  So they'll have to wait.  I wanted to wear it earlier in the remix, but the terrible weather put my skirts on the back burner.   14 more days to go, I'll need to step it up.

Tomorrow is Friday :) And I have a hot date with the hubs tomorrow.
Kid Rock here we come!

Only FIFTEEN

Top: Gap
Jeans: Express
Mocs: Minooka
Necklace: Gifted

Day 15, I'm halfway there!!!  It's definately time to trim my bangs, but I always forget about it when I have the time.  So today they are pinned back & I'm wearing a head(ache)band, it just didn't show up in the pictures.  If you noticed the mocs aren't in my 30/30, but I decided to switch them out my brown heels for the flats.  The last time I wore the heels (pre 30/30) they were a little big and caused me to walk funny, so they really weren't the best choice for the challenge.

Last night after posting, I didn't get to go to bed as planned.  My oldest cat, Jenny starting having trouble breathing.  Hubs starting freaking out thinking she was dying.  She was in really bad shape; it was terrible.  We think the culprit was a hairball.  So after calling the emergency clinic and giving her medicine, it was after midnight before we went to bed.  She's ok now, we have a vet appointment & I'll have brush her more often to help prevent them.  Below is my pretty girl :)

FOURTEEN points

Cardigan: Target
Tee: Loft
Jeans: American Eagle
Flats: Madden Girl (DSW)
Scarf: Kohls

Day 14, KB had her 2nd tournament game tonight.  I dressed in blue today to show my school spirit... and they WON!  (I cheated yesterday & wore red on Valentines to KB's game.  Which just so happened to be the opposing team colors again!)  They only ranked 4th in the season & now they are playing for the Championship next week!  I was so excited, until we didn't make it home until after 8 and she had tons and tons of homework... Needless to say, it's been a long evening.  I'm exahausted, but I'd like to give a special thanks to hubby for cooking dinner, so I could shovel it down between work and the game.  Flowers yesterday & dinner tonight.  I think I have a keeper.  and now I'm out... Night

my Valentine

Hubby knows I'm a sucker for flowers on Valentines.  Especially roses.  I know they are overrated, cliche, and hubby thinks its just a stupid Hallmark holiday.  But luckily, he plays along and has bought me flowers for the past 7 years.  (I hope he keeps it up)  Roses are definately my favorite.  They last the longest & smell so yummy.  He had them waiting in the garage, so when I pulled in they were waiting on me!  He even took the time to make a homemade card!

I was the slacker that was at Walgreens afterwork with a bunch of husbands/boyfriends picking through all the leftover cards.  I left with a card, itunes gift card & some Reese's hearts!  They were hubby approved.  You can't really go wrong with sweets & music.

Currently, they are in the bedroom with the door closed to keep the kitties from eating my pretty flowers!

Bakers Dozen = THIRTEEN

Tee: Loft
Jeans: Express
Flats: Madden Girl (DSW)
Apron: Gift from Mom

Day 13, If you couldn't tell, I spent the afternoon baking!  Appetizers & desserts are my favorite things to cook.  After finding the How Sweet It Is blog the other day, I've been craving some sweets.  There are so many yummy looking recipes, I couldn't decide.  The list tonight included: Cookie Dough Dip, Double Fudge Oreo Crunch Cookies, Fluffy Snickerdoodles, & Cherry Chip Cupcakes with Chocolate Frosting.  (the 1st 3 were How Sweet's recipes - and there are TONS more that I can't wait to try!)  I'm splitting up the treats and taking half of the yummies with me to work & hubs is taking the rest.

When I was in elementary school, I was very active in 4-H.  My main project was Breads.  I did a lot of competitions, food demonstrations, & scrapbooking.  I set up my tripod & took some action shots.  They really made me reminisce.

Hope everyone has a Happy Valentines tomorrow!  Hubs & I celebrated last night.  I love date nights :)

Row TWELVE

Cardigan: Target
Tee & Jeans: Loft
Flats: Madden Girl (DSW)
Belt/Bow: from a Delia's skirt

Day 12, Tonight is our Valentine's Date Night.  After trying on everything in my 30/30, I decided to just go casual.  Hubby appreciates this because he doesn't like dressing up.   He's in the shower now while I'm blogging!  While I was accessorizing, I wasn't feeling my black belt options.  I'm really digging how the yellow belt breaks up my normal pink/gray combo.  I'll definately try this more often.

It's definately time to trim my bangs!  I've been noticing it for a couple days now, but they were all in my eyes tonight.

I bought myself a present today!  Tickets to see Katy Perry.  Hubby said they could be my Valentine's present as long as he didn't have to go with me!  She is coming to Nashville in August on a Friday night.  It's going to be a perfect girls night out!

Now I'm off for a wonderful night out with my sweetie... Hope everyone is having a great weekend :)

But it goes to ELEVEN

Cardigan & Tee: Loft
Jeans: Express
Boots: Madden Girl (DSW)
Necklace: World Market

Day 11, Thank God today is FRIDAY!!! This has been the longest week & today lasted forever!  Weather has sucked, especially for my drivers, making it harder on me to make sure all the loads get delivered.  The oversized loads have been the worst!  I spent all day ordering & reordering, routing & rerouting 2 drivers, calling & being put on eternal hold with multiple state offices & the permit company... I was jumping for joy when 5 o'clock came!

My Friend Friday has a different twist.  The past couple Friday nights have been spent with my girl friends.  Tonight, I went out to eat with Sherry & her daughter for some yummy mexican food.  I even splurged for a margarita!  I don't normally, but it's been onehellofa week!  We talked and laughed until the majority of the restaurant was empty.  It was great.  We usually have a big girls night out every couple of months, but it's nice to have one on one time with my besties too!  Sherry was my maid of honor.  We met in the 4-H when I was 13 & have been best friends ever since.  She's had a lot of hardships, but you wouldn't be able to tell it, because she always has a smile on her face.  She's by far one of the strongest women I know.

Two years ago for Valentines, my hubby bought me a guitar.  A blue fender strat electric guitar!  I was totally into Guitar Hero & he just new I had the talent to actually play.  And I had every intention to take lessons.  I just work crazy hours & I think it's a lost cause.  It's fun to play around, but I really don't have the feel for it.  I've thought about selling it, but I hate to get rid of a such a sweet gift.  Now it just looks bad ass sitting on it's stand in the bedroom!  Maybe I'll pick it up one of these days...  Speaking of Valentines, I need to come up with something for the hubs!!!

30/30 Recap 1-10

As I've said before, this is my 1st 30 for 30 challenge.  It's a lot harder than it looks.  So far I've worn my OTK Boots 6 times & my American Eagle jeans 5 times.  I promise more variety in the next weeks.  Good news is we are supposed to have 60 degree weather!  My problem is that I feel like I'm out of clothes already & I'm only 1/3 of the way through the challege.  Eeek!!!
